What is a Live Online Interactive Little Medical School Program?
Little Medical School – Calgary offers unique live interactive and engaging online classes that spark your kids imaginative learning covering many disciplines of the medical field while also inspiring them with a rich experience to ignite their interest in medical careers in the futureThe online class is real-time session which promotes interaction with our instructors and students, letting them talk, answer and ask questions, and perform activities together with other kids. Our online program include our most popular courses where students will explore the exciting field of medicine from home using a safe and secure video conferencing technology and premium LMS educational materials delivered contactless to your address prior to the start of the program.

How different is a LMS Live Online Interactive Program versus others?

This is not an ordinary online class!

  • Each LMS student will receive a premium LMS educational hands-on materials “Doctor’s Kit” delivered contactless to your address which will be used during the online program and for keeping. It means parents don’t have to rush, find and buy materials in order for their kids to join the activities. Did we say FREE shipping if within Calgary and only +$15 for other locations?
  • Our online classes will be 45 minutes each once a week (5 classes). This is still within the recommended screen time guidelines for children 5 and above per Alberta Health which is 2 hours per day.
  • Students will also be instructed to complete an offline/homework “at home” activities after each live virtual session to help them get engaged with the topics even after the live session ends.
  • Students may be asked to present their “at home” homework on the next session for class interaction.
  • Registration spots per program will be limited to 12 to ensure an engaging online atmosphere for students.

Are registrations limited?

Registration spots per program will be limited to 12 to ensure an engaging online atmosphere for students.

Is registration open to all?

Our Little Medical School – Calgary Live Online Interactive Programs are only open to Canadian residents (except Ottawa and Waterloo – where there are LMS franchisees as well). Not available for US residents and other countries. Please direct your questions to calgary@littlemedicalschool.com.

View our FAQ for In-Person Programs 2021:

What additional measures will LMS-Calgary do for Covid-19 safety?

Keeping in mind the safety of our children, staff and volunteers, we have put in place our Covid-19 Safety and Precautionary Procedures and Guidelines for In-Person Programs and will always update it according to Alberta Health Services Guidance. We are also working together with our partner community center or recreation center in providing a safe environment for our kids.

Where can I download the COVID-19 Alberta Health Daily Checklist Screening Questionnaire?

Parents and guardians must fill out the active symptom screening sheet each time their child joins the in-person program and will be asked to check the temperature of their child at home before coming to the program. You may download it here:

https://www.alberta.ca/assets/documents/edc-covid-19-screening-questionaire-english.pdf

If you answer YES to any of the questions, your child must not be allowed to attend or participate in the program.
