Little Medical School inspires young minds by sharing our passion for learning, health, and careers in medicine. Through hands-on activities, role-play, and interactive demonstrations, children explore the exciting world of healthcare. All programs are written by experienced educators and board-certified physicians. Classes are led by thoroughly trained and background checked Little Medical School Instructors.
Little Doctor School 1
Students will assume the role of a doctor and learn how the body and organs work, how to use medical instruments, administer first aid, and even tie knots like a real surgeon! Little Doctor School 1 focuses on the heart, lungs, and digestive system. There are no prerequisites so Little Doctor School 1,2, & 3 can be taken in any order.
Little Doctor School 2
As a doctor in training, this class focuses on first aid, the spine, and brain. Children will create and take home their own models of these body parts! There are no prerequisites so Little Doctor School 1,2, & 3 can be taken in any order.
Little Doctor School 3
Children will learn about the eyes, ears, broken bones, and how our body processes food. First aid is also a theme of Little Doctor School 3 as the little doctors will learn and practice how to perform CPR and the Heimlich maneuver!* There are no prerequisites so Little Doctor School 1,2, & 3 can be taken in any order.
Little Veterinarian School: The ABC's of Dog Care!
Each little veterinarian will get their own plush/stuffed puppy to adopt! Through role-playing, they'll learn how to examine a dog and remove ticks, discover nutrition and hydration needs, and learn about immunizations and vaccinations.
Little Veterinarian School: Feline Class
Little veterinarians will start by adopting their own plush/stuffed cat! They'll also learn how to perform a complete head to tail exam, how to properly greet feline patients, and how to create less stress in the home environment. Little veterinarians will also make and take home cat toys for their favorite feline!
Little Veterinarian School: Understanding Canine Design!
After adopting a new plush/stuffed dog, learners will discover the canine digestive system, basic principles of radiography, and how to read a dog's body language.
Little Pediatrician School
Children assume the role of a pediatrician and learn about performing an exam, feeding/burping a baby, infant CPR, and more! Every future pediatrician will adopt a luxury plush doll to take home. This class is a great option for children expecting a new sibling in the family!
Little Nursing School
At Little Nursing School, students will assume the role of a nurse and learn the important roles nurses play before, during, and after surgery. Little nurses also learn about the components that make up blood as well as how to treat broken bones. Students learn how to take vital signs and even practice drawing up medication and "injecting" it.
Little Nutrition School
These future dieticians will learn about healthy eating habits, the food pyramid, and global foods through our nutrition workbook Asha’s Magical Ride. Students will create tasty recipes and snack combinations.
Sports Medicine School
At Sports Medicine School, students will explore the roles of an athletic trainer and orthopedic surgeon. They'll learn how to diagnose and treat common sports injuries such as sprains, strains, and athlete's foot. We'll also discuss hands, reflexes, muscles, and joints. Children will get hands on and perform a Tommy John surgery!
Wilderness Medicine School
Learn about managing snake bites, applying a splint, using a tourniquet, and cleaning water to drink!
Little Pharmacy School
Get your mortar and pestle ready! At Little Pharmacy School, students will assume the role of a pharmacist and learn prescription education, the importance of medication safety, and how medications are made. We'll also discuss Poison Control.
Little Medical School (Pre-K Class)
Children will learn about tools doctors use daily, how activity affects heart rate, practice proper hand washing techniques, and even make a homemade "x-ray" to take home! Curriculum is taken from topics found in Little Doctor School 1, 2, and 3, but delivered in a non-reader friendly manner.
Little Dental School
At Little Dental School, students will assume the role of a dentist and learn about dental anatomy, oral hygiene, and how to prepare and fill a cavity.
MedSchool4Teens 1: EXTREME Medical School
An advanced medical school for middle school/high school aged students. Students learn about skin, blood and blood disorders, digestive disorders, surgical techniques, and reading EKGs. We'll also cover the different paths to medical school and other healthcare professions. There are no prerequisites so MedSchool4Teens 1 & 2 can be taken in any order.
MedSchool4Teens 2: EXTREME Medical School
An advanced medical school for middle school/high school aged students. Students learn about the kidneys, lung disease and the damage caused by smoking, the aspects of medical business, and the different paths to get into medical school and other healthcare professions. There are no prerequisites so MedSchool4Teens 1 & 2 can be taken in any order.
Human Anatomy
Students learn about body parts, common illnesses, accidents and reasons for ER visits, bones, muscles, and the various organ and body systems!
