FAQs

Parents

What is the cost of each six week session?
Registration costs can vary for the six-week program.  Prices are dependent on partnership agreements, school contracts, number of students and programming commitments.

What is included in each six week session?

Each week, your child will have an hour long class led by a trained Little Medical School instructor. A graduation ceremony will be held during the last class where your child will receive a Little Medical School diploma!
Take home medical equipment varies by course.  See the individual programs for details.

Where are the classes being held?

The standard six week long Programs are typically held at your child’s school. You will see the location when you register your child for the class. Camps, Badge Classes and Custom Classes will be held at various locations which will be shown on the registration page.

Are the instructors thoroughly background checked?

Absolutely! Your child’s safety is a top priority for Little Medical School of New Jersey.  Each instructor and volunteer must pass a thorough background check before being hired or allowed to teach classes.

Where are the Birthday Parties held?

The great thing about this is YOU get to decide where to have your party! The possibilities are virtually endless! We will come to a location of your choice to lead a fun-filled, unique and educational program for your child’s birthday. Previous locations have included — country clubs, recreational centers, neighborhood clubhouses, churches, homes, etc.

How do I know if you are offering classes at my child’s school?

You will see the location when you register your child for the class. Camps, badge classes and custom classes will be held at various locations which will be shown on the registration page.  Don’t see it??  Just let us know who to speak with at your child’s school and we’ll make it happen!!

Do you divide the classes by age?

We follow the Mixed-Aged Grouping teaching philosophy.  Mixed-Aged Grouping allows the teacher to focus on teaching each child according to his or her own strengths, unlike in same-grade classrooms that often expect all children to learn at the same pace.  The spirit of cooperation and caring in this environment makes it possible for children to help each other as individuals, not see each other as competitors and often allows the older children to have the opportunity to serve as mentors and to take leadership roles.

What courses are best suited for Pre K students?

We have specific courses, Little Medical School 1 PREK and we have Little Veterinary School for PREK, that are both focused on lessons and techniques for 4-5 year old students.

Do any of the courses require a prerequisite?

No! Any course can be attended at any time.

Are any public classes available?

Visit our registration page to look for public venues.  They will be noted as such.
